About Talisker 2022 Distillers Edition Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The Distillers Edition is aged in American oak casks before undergoing a second maturation in Amoroso sherry casks resulting in a richer and sweeter offering than the standard bottlings.
It was voted Best Whisky on Show at Robbie's Drams Whisky An' A' That Festival 2012, making it the first peated dram to pick up the accolade.
The nose on this Vintage is sweet with sultana aromas.
The palate is rich and soft with a pleasing crispness. Sherry notes are detected along with some peatiness. Oily and juicy.
The finish is sweet and lingering.
