About Kilkerran Heavily Peated Cask Strength Batch 9 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2023 Release
Batch No 9 is the brand new release from the excellent Glengyle Distillery, this malt showcases a different side of the normally lightly peated Kilkerran range. A typical Campbeltown dram, there is a sweetness to the peat and a clear maritime influence.
Influence: 90% Bourbon and 10% Sherry
Nose: Notes of freshly baked shortbread, cream soda, banana loaf and coconut shavings introduce this heavily peated dram
Palate : The creamy, vanilla notes carry through to the palate in notes of buttered digestive biscuits and custard creams
Finish : The peat is prominent in the finish, along with hints of gooseberries to round of this dram
