Colour: Mahogany.

 

Nose: Exotic spices mingle with peat, sweet tobacco and a touch of sea salt.

 

Taste: Very interesting dram. The Islay peat and phenols are there, but they are very well balanced, combining seamlessly with dark toffee, salted caramel, Demerara sugar and dry roasted peanuts. A spicy, peppery note emerges towards the end.
