Fettercairn 16 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Release III- 2022

Fettercairn is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland, located in the foothills of Scotland’s Cairngorms.

Each release of Fettercairn 16 year old single malt will showcase a maturation journey that enhances the tropical distillery character derived from the copper cooling ring distillation process.

The Fettercairn 16 series are batch releases of exceptional parcels of stock, and this 3rd in the series continues with the theme of hidden treasures from the distillery, using hand picked casks by Stewart Walker the Distillery Manager.

This expression has been matured in a selection of ex-Pedro Ximénez, ex-Oloroso, and ex-bourbon casks.

 

Colour: Amber gold with sunrise flecks.

Nose: Dried exotic fruits, lightly syruped figs, grapefruit and notes of mature oak.

Taste: Sunkissed raisins, ripe guava, patisserie spices and cocoa qualities elaborated with a crescendo of natural vanilla. Finish encompasses moist ginger cake, passion fruit, baked apple, underpinned with gentle notes of roasted coffee.
