About Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Island Collection
Loch Lomond the Island Collection, consisting of this whisky as well as a 12 and 18 year old expression. Each whisky in the range is subtly different from the next, much like the islands of the loch.
The madeira finish offers notes of orchard fruits with peach and pear, marzipan and a touch of spice with a sprinkling of nutmeg. The finish is long and dry with oaky and nutty notes.
Nose: Fresh citrus orange bursts on the nose giving way to almond marzipan comes through with nutmeg.
Taste: Velvet smooth and welcoming on the tongue. Fruity character of peach and fig is overlaid with rich butterscotch and delicate walnut.
Finish: Long finish, dry grape tannins and oak, lingering nuttiness
