Inchgower is a lesser known distillery to the majority however the malt it produces is a key component in Bell's blended Scotch whisky.
The interesting aspect to this whisky is that it is effectively tailored to add to the flavour profile of Bell's by lowering the cut point of the second distillation in the spirit still.
A single cask independent bottling from Douglas Laing & Co. Aged for 8 years in a single refill hogshead, non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% abv.
Nose: Wonderfully aromatic, fragrantly floral and interestingly herbal.
Flavour: Sugar sweet with heather honey, melted butter and lively spices.
Finish: Catch all those same flavours, with the spices now more apparent.
