About Johnnie Walker Double Black Blended Scotch Whisky.
Double Black is a more ‘extreme’ version of Johnnie Walker Black Label, with a powerful wood impact, courtesy of the use of some spirit matured in deeply charred casks, and a greater concentration of smoky Islay-style flavour characteristics.
Smoky and mildly medicinal on the nose, with barbecue, vanilla and lemon notes. The rich palate offers restrained grain, lots of malt character, a pinch of pepper, peat and black jelly babies. The finish is lengthy and satisfyingly bonfire-like.
