About GlenAllachie 18 Year Old - Single Malt Scotch Whisky - 2023 Release

From the Gaelic: Gleann Aileachaidh, Valley of the Rocks.

When the new owners recieved the keys to GlenAllachie, Master Distiller Billy Walker immediately set to work putting his fingerprint on the whisky; Scottish barley, 100 hour fermentation, slow distillation.
As a blender for over 50 years the warehouses is where Billy really comes into his own though. Working across the 16 warehouses holding casks dating back to the 1970’s, Billy has selected a limited parcel of casks to be released as GlenAllachie 18yo. The signature GlenAllachie rich, robust spirit, the heather and butterscotch notes balanced by extra years in cask.

 

COLOUR: Burnished Bronze.


NOSE: Fresh vanilla, toffee, butterscotch and spices.


TASTE: Raisins, marzipan, heather and honey, with rich notes of dark cherries, spices and subtle hints of
dark chocolate.
