The Cromarty Firth is one of the few places in the British Isles inhabited by Porpoise. They can be seen quite regularly, swimming close to the shore and less than a mile from the Teaninich distillery.
Founded in 1817 in the Ross-shire town of Alness, the distillery is now one of the largest in Scotland.
Nose: Fresh and clean - herbs and lemon zest - developing to brown bread and butter.
Palate: A creamy, nutty style with caramel cream, vanilla essence and peaches.
Finish: Nicely long with honeyed orchard fruits, popcorn and wood spice.
