Voted "Best Whisky on Show" at our Whisky An' A' That Festival 2013.
Glenfarclas has been in the hands of the Grant family since 1865, having opened in 1836. A very impressive heritage! The new Glenfarclas 40 Year Old was bottled in March 2010, and has been awarded a score of 95/100 by the Malt Advocate magazine. It was also voted "Best Whisky on Show" at our Whisky An' A' That Festival 2013!
Glenfarclas say that on the nose you will enjoy antique leather, walnuts and chocolate covered raisins. The palate has a sweet initial taste with orange segments and chocolate followed by a lovely flavour of burnt brown sugar. The dry finish oozes big tannins and more rich dark cocoa beans.
