About Kilkerran Heavily Peated Cask Strength Batch 8 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2023 Release
Batch No 8 is the brand new release from the excellent Glengyle Distillery, this malt showcases a different side of the normally lightly peated Kilkerran range. A typical Campbeltown dram, there is a sweetness to the peat and a clear maritime influence.
Nose: The nose is slightly mineral, with peat smoke apparent from the outset and a malty, cereal note.
Palate : Orchard fruits, apple blossom and poached pear notes emerge, and the peat smoke becomes more prominent on the palate in notes of campfire embers.
Finish : A long, sweet finish concludes this heavily peated dram.
