About Balvenie The Week Of Peat 14 Year Old - Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Week of Peat is the story where distillery manager Ian Millar, spotted a week’s gap in the distillery schedule. Eager to experiment with The Balvenie profile using what he had learnt from a recent trip to Islay, he ordered a batch of Speyside peat for the kiln and build a peat burner on the side ‘for, well, extra peatiness’. Described as “a sweet, smoky and fragrant expression of The Balvenie, crafted by distilling peated malt for one week of the year”, it’s bottled at 48.3% ABV and without chill filtration.
