Colour Rich gold.

Nose That unmistakable sweet cigar smoke aroma of Bowmore - peat, iodine, marzipan and floral notes.

Taste Soft and creamy. Slightly medicinal. Hard candy and apricots. The virgin oak cask brings vanilla, coconut, almonds and Demerara sugar. All alongside soft, sweet peat.

Finish Lingering, spicy and sweet, with delicate peat.

AWW # 30: Undisclosed Orkney 1999 cask # 5743 / 21YO / 52.0% - Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Colour Dark mahogany.

Nose Deep - you could nose this all day. There's maturity here. Raisins, toasted treacle and muscovado sugar. A hint of smoke.

Taste Dark chocolate, treacle toffee and cinnamon rolls. Stewed sultanas. This is a velvety and indulgent dram. A subtle smokehouse flavour emerges upon further investigation.

Finish Long and rich, with a spicy bite at the end, coupled with a very light hint of smoke.

Colour Golden straw.

Nose Intense vanilla and toffee aromas, with marzipan and caramelised sugars.

Taste Born on the fourth of July, it's fitting that this whisky was finished in virgin American oak. Creamy and full-bodied. Really big on honey, vanilla and toffee. Toasted marshmallows and crème caramel.

Finish Rich, full, sweet and soft.

Colour Light gold.

Nose A classic Speyside nose - fresh, sweet, fruity and very floral. Buttery, baked fruits, almonds and treacle.

Taste This has a real bakery store vibe to it. Buttery and creamy, with plenty of honey, vanilla and malty notes. Deliciously sweet, with toffee, vanilla cheesecake and custard.

Finish Sweet and spicy.

Colour Autumnal auburn.

Nose Ribena-esque. Very aromatic and fruity. Stone fruits, especially apricots, with a little toffee.

Taste Incredibly vibrant and fruity - bursting with flavour. Nectarines, apricots and plums. Red grapes and cranberries. A touch of spice and a little dark chocolate too. Superb influence from the Ruby Port cask.

Finish Sweet, fruity and slightly peppery.
