This is Bruichladdich's new flagship product, replacing the now defunct Laddie 10 year old. The legacy of the old whisky remains with this one still being floral and unpeated to taste, aged in American Oak casks and presented in the aqua tin. There are a couple of changes though...it no longer carries an age-statement and the ABV has been increased to 50% (resulting in a more enjoyable mouthfeel).
Our only complaint is with the presentation, we'd prefer the bottle to be clear. This is now the definitive Bruichladdich so we'd like to see the liquid. The distillery produces great whisky, why hide it behind green paint?
