Talisker Storm Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Storm is a new addition to Talisker's core range. I am a huge fan of the 10 year old but the fact that this whisky is very similar in price poses a real dilemma to me, because it is fantastic. I feel like I'm stabbing an old friend in the back each time it touches my lips but I'm afraid it is worth it!

The nose is mellow initially with sweet honey and a hint of spice before there is a burst of pepper. The palate starts off very gently, the calm before the storm you could say. Mellow and sweet before a surge of spice and sweetness. Coarse sea salt and smoke balances the experience well before a warming and lingering finish.
