Licor 43 is a Spanish liqueur created by the careful selection of 43 ingredients that marry together to provide you with a golden taste of Spain in a glass.
The origins of the drink stretch back over 2000 years to Roman Cartagena. Fast forward to preset day, the secret recipe was reinvented around 1946 by the Zamora family who continue to produce it on the Mediterranean shore.
Drinking Licor 43 is a very personal endeavour as individuals will be able to pick out certain flavours more prominently than others given the 43 ingredients, however the key flavours are generally sweeter citrus fruits with hints of vanilla and caramel.
It is an incredibly versatile drink but we think it works best in Red Sangria and Pina Coladas (although it also works in cupcakes, creme brulee and brownies...truly versatile!).
