The Pulteney Distillery is Scotland's most northerly distillery on the mainland.

Their 12 Year Old was awarded best in its class at the 2010 World Whisky Awards. The nose is quite complex and intense, there's an obvious link to their coastal heritage with salty sea-spray. The palate is smooth and quite dry, not much sweetness. Mainly oaky and nutty with a sprinkling of salt.
