Officially founded in 1823, Auchentoshan ("Corner of the Field") is situated to th west of Glasgow, just off of the A82 on the way to Dumbarton and is one of the 6 lowland malt distilleries.
They triple distill their whisky which historically was commonplace amongst lowland distilleries. This is possibly due to the close geographical proximity to Ireland; in Ireland they triple distill all of their whisky generally.
Auchentoshan is renowned across its expressions for being a smooth, sweet and easy drinking whisky. It can be greatly enjoyed by both novices and aficionados alike.
