Ardmore was founded by a member of the Teacher family in 1898 and unsurprisingly, for many years the objective of the distillery was to produce single malt whisky to be used in the Teacher's blend.
It wasn't until 1999 that an official single malt bottling was released, done so to celebrate the distillery's 100th anniversary.
Highland - 70cl / 40%
This is Ardmore's new release (2014), replacing the old "Traditional" bottling. It is a vatting of 20% unpeated whisky with 80% peated whisky.
