Corn Whiskey (often affectionately known as "White Lightning") is a legal and more acceptable derivative of the infamous American Moonshine.
It is made from a corn mash which may or may not have added sugars and from there is distilled and then aged, albeit for a very short time generally. For example, the Geogia Moon Corn Whiskey boasts on its jars to be less than 30 days old!
That being said, a number of producers are experimenting with a more premium level of Corn Whiskey such as Balcones, Heaven hill and Buffalo Trace.
Unaged Spirit - 75cl / 40%
Aged for less than 30 days this clear corn spirit is made using similar age-old methods as the original Georgia Moonshiners of yesteryear. It is not for the faint-hearted but certainly worth trying...if you don't mind going blind. (Only joking by the way.)
